Community Centre is based in what was the old Temperance Townhall, opened in 1906
by Canon Ronayne and is used for many different services. Various
groups meet there. Drama groups rehearse and perform their plays, a
pre-school playgroup meets in the building during term time and the
district court holds its sessions there each month.

After much hard work, Mountbellew
Mart was set up as a co-op in 1989. There is a
thriving Saturday
market for sheep commencing at 10 am.
Cattle sales every Saturday at 12 noon (where meals are
available in the restaurant).
Other groups, such as circuses and touring exhibitions, can also arrange
to use the Mart grounds.
